EVENT IN MOROCCO TO SHOWCASE OUR RANGE OF TOMATO VARIETIES AND ROOTSTOCKS.

Our new innovations and varieties with resistance to the rugose virus (ToBRFV) were the stars of an event with producers and exporters.

Last March at Semillas Fitó Morocco we organized the annual event on tomato and rootstocks at the APEFEL Technology Transfer Centre. The main aim was to exhibit our varietal range and our outstanding experience in the field, in which we are able to adapt to the needs of each growing area.

During the event, we presented  Zena, Mimosita and Rojales, our new Cherry tomato varieties, which captured the attention of the attendees with their unique and promising characteristics. Another highlight was the rootstock Tronix, recognized for its vigour suitable for all segments, and Bandix, a generative rootstock resistant to fusarium 3.

The event was attended by more than 200 people over three days, a number of attendees made up of producers and exporters from the Souss massa darae region.

Currently, thanks to the rigorous trials carried out by Semillas Fitó Morocco, we offer Moroccan producers commercial and pre-commercial varieties that present intermediate resistance (IR) to the rugose virus (ToBRFV). The varieties that offer this protection are Luchino, Mulan, Ferdinand, Mimosita and Alcazaba.
