Despite the physical distance, we maintain close ties with grass professionals from France, offering them solutions adapted to their needs and current market demands.  

On March 18, we had the pleasure of welcoming six grass professionals from the Perpiñán region who were interested in learning about our trials, in particular, our warm climate species.  The challenges posed by ever higher temperatures and restrictions on water and phytosanitary products mean that greenskeepers in southern France are having to look for new solutions and FITÓ has both the right varieties and the experience to assist them in this process.

Our latest bermuda grass, IBIZA, has generated a great deal of interest, as it offers the characteristics so highly valued by professionals: resistance to heat, drought and disease; fine blades and density; short dormancy with rapid spring green-up and excellent summer recovery capabilities. 

There were some very lively conversations regarding the installation, maintenance, characteristics and benefits of the different varieties.

We also compared the different C3 varieties (temperate climate) - ryegrass, fescue, bluegrass, etc., and our compositions which are specially adapted to offer just what greenskeepers and groundsmen.

We’re happy they were able to visit and hope they will come back very soon.
